For Hispanic Heritage Month Bungie decided to drop a virtue signal bomb introducing "Latin@Bungie" in the most woke way possible.
Perhaps Bungie forgot Twitter-X was no longer a full on leftist echo chamber as they tried to brag about their latest DEI initiative by promoting the use of "Being Latin/a/e/o/x" and were promptly blasted by the gamer community in response. To add to the comedy, this post was also community noted highlighting the reality of the term.
For some background, terms like LatinX are woke terms for Latinos that ironically are extremely passive aggressive dismissing the concept of the language being a gendered language. Large groups of Latinos have repeatedly showed disgust of this trend and each time they are ignored by these DEI led companies that apparently just look down on them as uneducated. It is notable that rather than just one offensive term, Bungie decided to cover all bases with Latin/a/e/o/x, hinting the same potential fate LGB turned into. At the time of this writing, the tweet had been viewed 11+ million times and caused Latinx to be trending.

The logo itself is pretty comical where unclear if meant to be some unit patch or what, but the style looks about as expected when the news page declares:
Introducing Latin @ Bungie | Bungie.net (archive.ph)
"Hispanic Heritage Month is underway, and we are proud to introduce one of our newest Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity Association (a.k.a. IDEA): Latin@Bungie."
"It is important for us to dive deeper into not only what unifies us, but how we can grow as a culture to be more inclusive and equitable, such as championing racial justice, women’s rights, and LGBTQIA+ causes."
Because you know, that's what Latinos asked for.... Other Classic responses included:
“Latinx” is English-American neologism created by white Americans. It butchers legitimate Spanish and isn’t even made by the people it’s for. It is only even slightly favored by college aged American Hispanics, while the rest of the South does not prefer the term over others. pic.twitter.com/WT019WYYoC
